Very well organized, relaxing, flexible and peaceful.
Rachel made this yoga retreat beyond what I could have expected.
Not only does she know a lot of history, roots and ways of yoga but her energy makes everyone feel comfortable.
The 17th century estate was breath-taking, the food was natural and delicious and I met a lot of really amazing people.

What You Will Do
We start each day with yoga, pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation.
During these morning sessions you will experience a variety of yoga styles so that you can find the ones that best suit you.
After a lovely breakfast, we gather again for the workshops. You get more insight on the true philosophy of yoga, on healthy food and you learn how you can get more balance and rest in your daily life.
In the afternoon you will have some time for yourself, take a dip in the pool, enjoy a rejuvenating massage or read that book that’s been waiting for you for a while.
On one afternoon we will visit a small typical medieval village together that’s renowned for its hill views, small alleys, and little shops.
There’s also a silent walk on the program: let the silence dazzle you and experience its strength. This silent time is often one of our guests’ favorite moments of the holiday.
Sunset is the time for the evening yoga classes. They will balance body and mind and above all, will give you a deep sense of peace and rest. After class you can enjoy, another wonderful dinner.
This is your time, your holiday, so if you want to skip a class or a workshop that is absolutely fine. Although we believe you will find the program stimulating and fun, primarily we want you to relax and enjoy yourself.
An hour from Rome we find the In Sabina estate. Two beautifully restored 17th century stone buildings overlook an incredible panorama of olive groves and fruit trees. There are three terraces with beautiful views for relaxing and watching the amazing sunsets.
Torri, a medieval village with barely 1000 residents, is about 3km away.
At In Sabina you will find a lovely arrangement of beautiful rooms set in acres of lush groves of olive trees, fresh fruit trees, flowers, and all the beauty the Italian landscape has to offer.
Rooms are spacious and well equipped, with shared bathrooms. Several single rooms are available, at additional cost. The region has long been famous for its quality food and drink; the olive oil is even considered to be one of the best in the world.
In Sabina is featured in the recent Taschen publication Great Yoga Retreats! More information and pictures on: www.insabina.com.

This week has been most enjoyable! For me it was the perfect combination of excercise, leisure time, adorable food and great people in a wonderful location. The yoga classes were a very good mixture of different styles, enabling me to figure out what style suits me best; Thanks Rachel, for this great retreat!

Breathing sensations, powerful warmth and an astonishing environment. This Vajra retreat very gently introduced me to the variety of yoga. Daily practice has now become an integral part of my life. I discovered myself, care for my body and reinvented my life! Alla prossima volta!
Marjolein Paap, the Netherlands
If you want to start with yoga or are a beginner and want to know more about it, this yoga retreat is a wonderful choice: a well balanced program, good teachers, a great environment and a relaxed atmosphere.

Rachel took care of us in all senses and I admire her genuine humbleness. I loved the yoga classes, ALL of them, but also the rest of the program. In Sabina itself is located in a beautiful area, just perfect for a yoga retreat. It’s cozy and decorated with very good taste, full of details and the yoga platform is wonderful! I came back for a second time on a Revealing Vajra Yoga Retreat so that should say enough!
Everyone takes care of you and that is a wonderful feeling to have!
Karyn Monat, USA
I came to this retreat not knowing what to expect as I had never met Rachel and was not familiar with the style of yoga she would teach. However the retreat was fabulous! I learned and practiced many styles of yoga, felt comfortable asking the instructors questions and enjoyed the company of the multinational group and loved the relaxing atmosphere of the Italian countryside. Thank you!
Kim Verheyden, Belgium
Signing up for the Vajra yoga retreat was definitely the right choice for me. I would describe this retreat as the perfect balance between yoga, relaxing, me-time, good laughter, nice food & accommodations… all with a soft spiritual touch. Rachel is a truly lovely person! She will make you feel at home as of your arrival and will guide you along this nice yoga-journey.
All you need to do is enjoy!
